Stoffels was a well-known Swiss textile mill that produced high-quality woven shirting and suiting fabrics throughout the mid-20th century, widely favored by European tailors and smaller clothing makers. ‘Schweizer Vollzwirngewebe’ refers to a Swiss full-twist weave fabric made from tightly twisted, high-quality yarns. This particular cloth is composed of 50% Dacron/polyester and 50% Baumwolle/cotton. Described as a ‘Swiss 2-Ply Fabric,’ it uses two-ply yarns — a hallmark of superior-grade textiles.
